University of Tennessee EPSCoR Travel Fellowship Opportunities

Neutron scattering techniques provide exceptional tools for studying the structure and dynamics of materials at the molecular level. Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, has two of the leading neutron scattering facilities with the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) and the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). SNS is the most powerful pulsed spallation neutron source in the world while HFIR is the highest flux reactor-based neutron source for condensed matter research in the United States. More information on neutron scattering is available at Oak Ridge National Laboratory's web site.

The University of Tennessee has received an implementation award from the U.S. Department of Energy to encourage development of neutron scattering as a scientific tool among U.S. academic institutions in EPSCoR states. We are able to offer fellowship opportunities for EPSCoR colleagues to perform neutron scattering experiments at these Oak Ridge facilities. We are also able to provide scholarships to travel to attend events at Oak Ridge.

The following PDF document provides more information about the travel fellowship and lists some upcoming events in Oak Ridge that may be of interest to you and your colleagues.
